Sensitive personal information is a subtype of personal information consisting of specific information categories. While we collect information that falls within the sensitive personal information categories listed in the table below, the CCPA does not treat this information as sensitive because we do not collect or use it to infer characteristics about a person.

Retention of Personal Information and Sensitive Personal Information
We take reasonable steps to ensure your personal information, including your sensitive personal information, is retained for the minimum period necessary to achieve the purposes described in this Notice. The criteria for determining the duration for which we will retain your personal information and sensitive personal information are as follows:
- We will retain your information for as long as: We maintain an ongoing relationship with you (for example, while you remain an employee or a partner in our tax partner network); or Your information is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Notice.
- The duration of any applicable limitation period prescribed under applicable law; and
- In the event any legal claims are anticipated or brought, we may continue to retain your information for such
additional periods as are necessary in connection with that claim.
During the time we retain your personal information and sensitive personal information, we will limit our use of that information to the storage of that information, except to the extent that information is needed for the purposes described in this Notice or such information needs to be reviewed in connection with any legal claim or other obligation under applicable law.
To the extent applicable or permitted under applicable law, upon the conclusion of the time periods described above we will
- permanently delete or destroy the relevant personal information and sensitive personal information, or
- archive your personal information and sensitive personal information so that it is beyond use; or
- identify, aggregate, or otherwise anonymize the relevant personal information and sensitive personal information so that it can no longer identify, relate to, describe, or be capable of being associated with, or reasonably be linked to, you or your household.
